1. Fish
At the top we find the natives of the sign of Pisces. These people do not know their level of psychic power, but they have such a high sense of intuition that allows them to make all the right decisions and get ahead of their time. Is the horoscope a naïve theory of personality?
For example, if an individual is from Leo he will be led from childhood to define his behavior based on the “personality” characteristics of the zodiac sign with a process of attribution of meaning with respect to the things that happen to him. Astrology can profoundly influence a person’s psychology, lead him to build a series of explanations of his own behavior and that of others, believe that certain attitudes of the partner are connected to the zodiac sign and therefore support beliefs devoid of any scientific and objective foundation.
People tend to identify with their zodiac sign to the point of confirming the goodness of certain positive or negative attitudes. For example, the sensitivity of the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces), the concreteness of the earth signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn), the passion of the fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) and the dreamy appearance of the air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius). The human mind constantly tries to give meaning to the reality it observes and to continually create illusory correlations. Introverted and extroverted zodiac signs
A study conducted by Mayo, White and Eysenck (1978; Journal of Social Psychology, 105, 229-236) identified the presence of two groups of signs in the zodiac that had specific personality characteristics, in particular:
- Signs with extroversion traits (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius) born with the sun in a positive sign
- Signs with introversion traits (Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces) born with the sun in a negative sign.
Another study conducted by Jan J.F. van Rooij in 1993 showed that these personality differences were present only in people who possessed knowledge of astrology. That is, only those who believed in the horoscope had these differences on the axis of introversion-extroversion. In fact, it will be the person himself to attribute a subjective meaning to the prediction a bit like it happens with the well-known quatrains of Nostradamus or the most recent with the episodes of the Simpsons that seem to have predicted any contemporary event.
